The OPUS Solution

OPUS is dedicated to provide solutions that energize the United States in its transition away from current carbon based infrastructure. Although each site has specific restrictions and challenges, The OPUS Solution is evaluated on a four pronged strategy.

Decommission

Our strategy is to increase the speed of the decommissioning / conversion process by working in unison with environmentalist, regulators, ISO’s and communities to establish the best and most efficient plan of action for faster redevelopment.

Redevelopment

Each site provides interesting opportunities for redevelopment. Site by site, community by community, OPUS seeks out all alternative uses. Many of these sites lend themselves to the construction of new cleaner alternatives such as:

Renewable Generation Site Repurposed

Battery Storage Green Space
Solar Generation Sports Complex
Wind Generation Data Center
Micro Solar Grid Residential Lake Lots
Hydrogen Generation Public Parks

Refueling

In areas where a renewable solution is not an option, but grid stability must be maintained, our engineering teams will seek to replace generation with cleaner more efficient green hydrogen as a fuel source and battery technology. This reduces each sites carbon and environmental footprint immensely.

Operation

Some sites must be made available for commodity supply/delivery & in the case of generation, VAR support or reserve generation to support the power grid. OPUS will efficiently operate these sites until other greener technologies can replace the capacity. During the transition phase of this sites, OPUS and its team will work with the Independent System Operator, environmentalist, and regulators to develop a distinct plan to phase out each site.
